About Melanie

I have experience in both Montessori and traditional education. It can be challenging to supplement a Montessori student's education due to the nature of the materials. I have many Montessori materials for my students to use, with my guidance, to gain extra practice outside of school. Additionally, the Montessori materials can help students in a traditional, online, or blended education. My experience as a cognitive skills trainer and corporate trainer provides unique dimensions to my education skillset. I majored in molecular biology with a minor in chemistry from Vanderbilt University. I worked in academic research (neuropharmacology, oncology, microbiology) providing me with a hands-on perspective I can pass on to students. I even own some pipets, digital microscope, etc. that can help make science "real"!
