About Mary

I taught study skills at an undergraduate level and it was fascinating. I learned so many tricks that I wish I knew when I went through school. I can help your child with class note taking, text book reading, organization, sticking to a schedule and best study practices. I'm energetic and I love to bring humor and levity to help your student gain confidence. I've been tutoring privately for 15 years. I can provide references for families that I worked with all throughout their students' education. I love remaining close to these families and seeing what their kids accomplish after school. In my spare time, I like to sew and quilt. I love making tshirt and memory blankets. I worked in education for 10 years before I recently decided to stay home with my two toddlers. I miss the academic environment and would love to help your students excel in school. I've taught Spanish, study skills, and social studies. I spent 7 years as a school counselor at all levels.
