About Mckala

I have been tutoring in various subjects for 5 years now. I have experience in tutoring English, Spanish, mathematics, reading, and science (specifically biology and chemistry), trumpet, and French horn. I have tutored children as young as 3 years old all the way through the collegiate level. I am currently a biology, chemistry, and Spanish tutor at my university. I studied Biochemistry for 3 years and I am finishing the final year of my degree in Spanish language and culture. I hope to continue on and get a degree in either education or social work. I also have 5 years of experience as a Sunday school teacher at my church and I work at the Y where I foster an educational yet fun environment for children to grow and learn. I find it incredibly important and valuable to teach in a fun and engaging manner that helps children become excited to learn. These methods include songs, games, activities, and more. It is all about learning what works best for the child.
