About Alexis

I have lots of experience working with young children in general elementary school subjects. During my undergraduate career in college, I spent two years teaching statistics at the university as well as serving as a tutor for statistics and psychology courses. I am confident in my knowledge and have experience meeting people where they are and helping them succeed! I like tutoring because I love explaining concepts in different ways and helping people succeed and creating a genuine connection with them. I started tutoring when in high school helping my younger siblings turned into helping others in their classes and then in high school tutoring was a great way to build my own skills as an educator. In my spare time, I like to read books, hang out with friends and crochet! My skills include an ability to explain concepts in different always, ability to build a connection with students, and taking learning styles into consideration when building a tutoring plan.
