About Matthew

I'd describe my personality as exuberant, engaging and patient. I like tutoring because I love helping folks reach their goals. I know how it feels to be confused, misunderstood or overwhelmed as a student, and would like to combat that feeling with my unique approach and expertise. I started tutoring when I graduated college. My first gig was with adults pursuing their GED. After aiding 10+ people to get their general education degrees, I started helping secondary and post secondary students. This led me to get a teaching degree, spend six years in the classroom as a teacher, and then return to tutoring once more. In my spare time, I like to run, read, hike, fish, play basketball and spend time with my family.
