Hello! I am a mother of 5 children and 1 grandson! I moved to Sparks 7 years ago in July, after living in San Jose for 4 years. I am currently working at Tesla Monday through Friday, but I am looking to being a full time nanny again. In my spare time I love taking long walks with my dog, reading and sewing. Most importantly I love kids and I would love to help you out.

I met Mary after answering her response to my job posting. She must have thought I was crazy as I arrived to our meeting late and a bit frantic from lack of sleep but she didn't show it. After speaking with her for about an hour we decided to give things a try. She came over for a trial and I could immediately tell she was the right person. She knew how to hold my baby, change his diaper, dress him, feed him, play with him and basically do everything for him. She helped me sleep train him (which gave me back my sanity) and best of all I didn't worry at all when I was at work. Even though she was a total stranger at the time, I just knew that he was being taken care of. I could tell right away that she actually cared (hard to find). She was excited for all his milestones and in the beginning gave me all the nitty gritty details that I wanted (I'm a bit of a micromanager). After a bit, I "let go of the reins" and it was even better because it allowed me to relax and allowed her to do her job, which was taking care of my kid. My schedule was kind of unconventional in the beginning but she was completely accommodating. Still almost 9 hours a day but with a break in the middle. In the past 5 months she has been here from 8 a.m. to 5/6 p.m. and I feel like my kid is well taken care of, loved and is thriving. I have had several nanny's (this is my 2nd kid and we moved twice) and I have to say she really is a gem. You won't find another person who is as experienced (she did raise 5 kids) and not jaded by the work like Mary. She loved 5 kids and now she loves mine too. It's pretty much amazing and we are so lucky to have her in our lives. As a perk, Mary also did the boys (I have two) laundry, put away all the toys (we have a lot), cleaned the kitchen and cooked for us! She also helped me by taking care of both my kids when I needed an extra hand, she picked the older one up from daycare and watched both of them at some point as well (when she started the older one was a few months shy of 2 and the little one was a few weeks shy of 5 months). Basically she is the best. We did make the decision to put the little one in Hebrew daycare starting September. The reason being is that we would like him to learn Hebrew (Mary's only missing skill) and socialize with other kids. He will be 17 months. I feel the tears coming on as I write this review. I am going to be so sad to not have Mary come over every morning and say "bye bye" every evening. She has become part of our family and we will miss her very much. I hope this review helps her find another family that will find her as amazing as we do. Please feel free to contact me if you need any more information or have any questions. Mary has all my info.
