About Martha
Experience: 10 yrs
Westbrook RN seeking ongoing part-time, fill-ins and respite also. Flexible days and hours. Experienced with preventing falls, wound care, orthopedic care and surgical rehab. This aspect of my career started with my own mom in her 80s-90s. Mom had dementia. It was challenging over many years. Through my support we kept her active, conversant, laughing often, daily walks until a couple days before her peaceful death at home at age 95. In this process I hired and worked alongside caregivers including two years with hospice nursing team. Licensed, insured. Experienced with meds, exercises, household help and as always just simply being there as an able companion including dog walks and animal care, errands, driver, house cleaning, laundry, light meal prep. I love being a caregiver with the right match of individual and family that I help.

Martha has a lot of patience with my mother! She is very reliable and has been flexible when my mother’s schedule has changed. We had also been trying to get my mother to get out and do things rather than just sit and home but Martha was actually successful at getting her out. She has also picked up on health problems that my mother or her dog were having. I live two hours away so I have to rely on the caregivers for updates and Martha has been very good at doing so. She is also very good at finding activities my mother might like. I feel very comfortable knowing my mother is in good hands.
