About Martha
Experience: 10 yrs
I'm seeking part-time work and can be flexible on days. My caregiver career started with caring for my mother in her 80s-90s including living with her for the last 3 years of her life. Mom had dementia which was challenging but I kept her very conversant, active, daily walks until her peaceful death at home at age 95. During those years I also hired caregivers and worked with hospice nurses and doctors. Recently I worked for 19 months as a full time caregiver to an active 90+ lady: personal assistance, meds, exercises, therapies, interface with medical team, companionship, dog walks, errands, driver, house cleaning, laundry, light meal prep, occasional dinner and movies etc.

Martha has a lot of patience with my mother! She is very reliable and has been flexible when my mother’s schedule has changed. We had also been trying to get my mother to get out and do things rather than just sit and home but Martha was actually successful at getting her out. She has also picked up on health problems that my mother or her dog were having. I live two hours away so I have to rely on the caregivers for updates and Martha has been very good at doing so. She is also very good at finding activities my mother might like. I feel very comfortable knowing my mother is in good hands.
