About Mariye

Hi, I'm Rose! A little about me: I graduated high school as a Culinary Arts and Hospitality student. I currently attend a liberal arts college as a psychology major. I have been tutoring since my first year of high school, making about 5 years now and I typically work with ages 3-15. I got into tutoring through volunteer work. I spent a year as an assistant teacher to a preschool Montessori teacher. I then spent another year assisting a middle school teacher with her classroom. I was a student teacher my senior year of highschool and spent my time tutoring culinary arts to fellow students. I started my career as an academic tutor helping others with English, specifically focusing on writing help. I eventually expanded into teaching several other areas of study. I typically spend sessions going over content, completing assignments, and reviewing past work. I strongly believe that understanding the concept is more important than memorizing it.
