About Marissa

I have always had a passion to work with kids. At age 12 I volunteered at a childcare facility & was a "teachers aid". At 16 I worked at a childcare facility as a toddler teacher. In 2017 I nannied for a family, up until my husband got stationed out of the state of Oklahoma. When on base I worked for 2 families. I'm looking for a job that is laid back, & adventurous. We love going out to do activities. I am looking to work with younger children between the ages of 12 months & 6/7 years. My spare time revolves around my kids. I like to travel with my family & explore. We have visited 7 national parks & 6 states. We love target trips, coffee outings, & trips to the park! . Child care skills that I have is patience. I believe in a gentle approach to childcare, I believe children deserve the same respect we give adults. Another skill I have is understanding the social/emotional needs a child. Their comfort is important & I believe helping them work through big emotions is beneficial.
