About Ashleigh

My love for children began in high school as I volunteered each summer at a sports day camp. During the camp I was co-responsible for a group of 10-12 kids that were similar ages. There were group activities we went to throughout the day, and I was co-responsible for keeping the group together and ensuring everyone had a safe and fun time. I began babysitting at the age of 15. During college, I babysat for multiple families. My junior year, I babysat a year-and-a-half old boy twice a week for a semester, and continued to babysit for that family on other occasions. My senior year, I helped with childcare for a weekly Bible study, during which I was co-responsible for a group of children spanning multiple ages. My love for children fed into my love for education and my desire to become a teacher. Something I love about babysitting/nannying is the freedom to still be the child's friend, and that is the best part! I've finished my 4th year of teaching, and am looking for a summer job!
