About Marissa

I've been nannying for 10+ years now. I have experience watching multiple children at a time from newborns to pre-teens. Children don't tire me out and I'm always up for playing games, dancing, doing crafts, or finding new ways for them to be entertained. Although I am very active and able to play with younger kids, I am also helpful in making sure older children in school can get their homework done, and during this time be able to learn from home; I try to assist in any way I can. A little about me, I graduated from JMU in 2018 with a BA in Musical Theatre. I'm an actor and nanny during the day. Post graduation I also had the pleasure of teaching in public and private elementary+middle schools for the first time, teaching acting and dance classes as well as musical theatre workshops. I am currently available to part time and am available for one-time date nights, some weekend hours, and even voice lessons for children as well!

If you are reading this, stop right now and hire this lady- she will not let you down. Marissa is an all-star and will be forever missed by us and our little boy! She has helped us in so many ways- know you can depend on her fully when it comes to care, kindness, and patience towards your child. She has experience with children who need a little extra attention- before Marissa joined our household our little guy would barely speak to people, (premature/pandemic) but with Marissa's patience, encouragement, and expertise- he is now so much more social and learning more words every day. With her experience and knowledge, she helped me become a more patient and better mom- I doubt we ever find a true "replacement." Hire her and you won't be sorry.
