I find it fulfilling being around kids/children of any age and have a tendency to give them my full attention as if they were my own, automatically and instinctively providing whatever needs they have. I have given loving care for children from their infancy and onward. Comments have been given how I was a natural and intuitive with children: feeding them, helping with their toiletry/bath/cleanliness, tutoring, and joining in their fun activities/games. Every moment to me is a teachable moment in a fun way where kids enjoy the 'game' as they learn, not even being aware that these games are learning activities. Older kids were also inclined to hang around me, confide in me, or asked help with their assignments. Half the time I get the feeling that they seem to forget I am much older than them. They have become friends of mine to this day. Even when I was managing a gift shop, kids from ages 5 to 17 tended to stay around and talk to me while their parents went on with their shopping in the mall. At the end of their stay, the kids leave me with a smile, and thank me for talking and joining in their fun. This happened often enough for the next door Gift Shop owner to comment and say that I have an amazing natural talent with kids. My respect for children is immense and I find that I always learn something new about life from their innocent perspectives. I treat them as the smart intelligent beings that they are. I believe they are what keeps us retain our youthfulness, leaving us smiling and laughing. They spread happiness as we offer them the positives in life.
