About Maren

I am a Multiple Subject Credentialed Teacher, authorized to teach all subjects, grades K-8th. I completed my BA at UCSC and my credential at SSU. I have worked as a 7th grade teacher in Santa Rosa for the past 11 years, teaching all subjects areas. I have many years of experience working in preschools and elementary school classrooms and have also worked as a tutor through my school district as well as privately for students 1:1. I have a passion for teaching and I absolutely love building rapport with students and using creative strategies to make difficult concepts feel easy. I have taught a wide variety of learners and I am adept at analyzing exactly what each individual learner needs, identifying common areas of misconception, and using strategies that appeal to various learning styles. I am patient, enthusiastic, kind, and I genuinely love helping kids build confidence through learning!
