About Mallory

Learning a new language, or improving one we already speak, is a journey! I love being a part of that process and giving my students the tools to become better speakers, readers, and writers. My teaching certification is in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), but I can use the same tools to help American students improve their reading. We work on phonemic awareness, the ability to identify and manipulate the sounds in words, and build to reading and writing whole words and sentences. I'd describe my personality as patient, creative, and fun! When working with children I try to craft lessons that are both informative and engaging. I keep their interests and language goals in mind so that they look forward to learning. When I'm not teaching I study French and Spanish, and like to travel, read, and draw.
