I'd describe my personality as kind and warm, with a growth mindset. I like working with kids because they show me the magic of the world and remind me of the joy in the little things! I started working with kids when I was 14 as a babysitter. In highschool I worked as a nanny. In 2020, I began my first job in group care for a non-profit in Omaha NE. Shortly after, I earned my Child Development Associate for Infants and Toddlers. In 2021 I moved to Portland to work as Primary Teacher in a classroom of 1-year-olds. While continuing to work in group care, I studied yoga and meditation for adults and children. At the beginning of 2024 I returned to college for my AAS in Early Childhood Education. I'm looking for a job that values the educational path of the child. I specialize in 0-3 and my philosophy is developed with the influence of Reggio Emilia and RIE. My skills include compassion, patience, and developmentally appropriate practice. I value a safe place to make mistakes and grow.
