I have worked as a nanny with infants and toddlers for the last 5 1/2 years and my most recent infant will need only part-time care for the summer. I started working with infants and toddlers from 1987 to 1998 when I ran a licensed family daycare and then as a nanny for four families with infants. In all cases, I stayed from infancy until preschool age, about 2 1/2 years in each case. After that, for the next 23 years, I worked as an English and Social Studies tutor for older elementary, middle, and high school students. I retired from teaching English and became a nanny for infants. I have splendid references for all these caregiving and teaching activities

Lynnette started caring for our baby at 7 mos old. She's wonderful with babies-- very calm, has a great sense of their mood and needs, and was able to soothe ours easily. She brought her own music to our home so baby could enjoy while playing --Celtic was a favorite. Another strong suit is her calm, steady presence. She was unfazed by all of the commotion in our house including a needy cat, and a months long kitchen remodel. She remained easy going and flexible, which was a great help at this stage of our lives. I also appreciated that Lynnette was regularly on time which made our starting our work day that much easier.
