About Lynne

I am a 2015 graduate of UVa in Drama, and just completed my MA in Theatre History and Criticism. I have experience teaching drama (as well as using drama techniques in standard curriculum classroom instruction) at the post-secondary and secondary level. I am a professional Teaching Artist and direct/design for a non-profit theatre in Charlottesville. Prior to grad school, I worked for roughly three years in public school system(s) as a classroom TA as well as founding drama classes and directing plays for students up through Grade 5. I also used drama-based techniques to enhance learning in ESOL students and gained paid experience working in UVA's Center for Teaching Excellence. My nannying experiences have often morphed into something more akin to those of a regular teacher (i. e. structuring curriculum on a day-to-day basis). I enjoy tutoring and leading children in engaging arts and crafts. I am fully-vaccinated, First Aid/CPR certified, and have a reliable car.
