About Lorryn

Hello! I am a full time nanny and substitute teacher. I have been working in childcare professionally for 5 years, though my love for engaging with children goes back to when I started babysitting at only 10 years old. My caregiving style is a blend of Montessori, Waldorf, and RIE pedagogy- always based on respecting every child as an autonomous, capable human with valid emotions and needs. I am confident I can provide a safe, caring, fun environment for your little one to explore, play, and grow! I am looking for a part time position to provide some consistency to my schedule since my hours as a substitute teacher vary week to week. I value being able to take the kids on walks and talk about the local flora and fauna, visiting a nearby park to get some energy out, taking trips to libraries and museums, and coming up with engaging activities at their home when we stay in!
