About Lisa

I am a special education aid, with 10 years experience, and have also been a tutor for Elementary school students. I am a mother of six, and also a grandmother. Tutoring 1st-6th grade students, I have an encouraging style of tutoring, and use intuition, creativity, and strong fundamentals to teach students skills they need extra support with. I love helping kids learn, grow and help to fill in any gaps in their understanding of the important skills and fundamentals in math and reading. Also, I keep a focus on handwriting, spelling, and strengthening math facts. Students grow in confidence as they master the skills they've been struggling with. I offer 1-hour tutoring sessions tailored to the child's individual needs. I offer sessions both during the school year, as well as summer tutoring. Choose either once/week or twice/week.
