About Lisa

I am a certified special education teacher with 12 years experience teaching individuals with language-based learning differences. I have experience teaching reading, math and executive functioning skills. I have completed Orton Gillingham classroom educator training and would love the opportunity to use a multi-sensory approach to improve your child's reading skills. I can teach phonemic awareness/phonological awareness, decoding and encoding, fluency and comprehension. I like tutoring because I enjoy seeing students progress their skills. I love finding the unique ways that student's learn and implementing instruction based on their learning needs. I'm looking for a job where I can teach students reading skills using a multi-sensory approach. In my spare time, I like to walk with my dog, read, paddle board, and spend time with family. My skills include Multisensory instruction, structured literacy, and executive functioning skills.
