About Lindsey

I hold a Massachusetts license in Elementary Education for grades 1-6 as well as a license in Early Childhood Education for grades pre-kindergarten through grade 2. I also have a Masters' Degree in Elementary Education from Curry College. The majority of my career has been spent in the public schools. There I was a special education inclusion facilitator before becoming a Kindergarten teacher. Through my work, I have obtained valuable experience with curricula such as Balanced Literacy, Fundations and Everyday Math New Edition. I have gained practice administering assessments such as DRA, Dibels, Pals, writing prompts, baseline and term benchmark assessments. I have become adept at creating and leading whole and small groups, writing curricula and assessments, classroom management and working with students with diverse learning styles and disabilities. I have experience writing standards based report cards as well as conducting parent-teacher conferences. Due to my work in Special Education, I have gained experience writing IEP's and progress reports and adapting lesson plans in order to achieve differentiated instruction. My greatest satisfaction as an educator comes when children achieve their goals, recognize their capabilities and enjoy their successes.
