About Linda

I'm a mindful parenting mother of two now-grown children, available to provide thoughtful, engaging, responsible and reliable childcare and/or tutoring services to your family. I grew up in Madison and have worked as an English teacher and writer interspersed with time at home with my kids. I currently work as a CSCU writing tutor. I love interacting with children and adolescents (walking/hiking, swimming, gardening, baking, games, arts/crafts, performing arts, reading, museums, libraries and other outings!). I can also tutor any subject through Grade 6 and English, history, and study skills through PhD/professional level. I worked as an in-home childcare provider through middle school, high school, and college, including working as a nanny in Connecticut and New York City. I'm also available to travel with your family. I follow Connecticut and federal laws regarding household employees (applicable if the employer pays more than $2, 700 a year or $1, 000 in a quarter for care).
