About Leana

I started working with kids . I would often volunteer in the nursery at the church I attended. My mom always says she'd find me continuously with a baby on my hip or a toddler attached to my leg at the end of service. As a teenager I volunteered at a local family daycare each summer, which solidified my desire to become an early education teacher. In college I worked as a nanny and now I have been in the early Ed field for over 12 years. In my spare time, I like to explore local parks and walking trails with my family. We also camp every summer and enjoy spending time at the beach. Nature is an important part of my life! One thing you should know about me is I'm really big on independence and developing responsibility. I believe children are capable of a lot more than they are often given credit for. It's my goal to teach children life skills and to develop abilities that will help them be successful later in life.
