My first experience with Home Care was at the age of 19. My oldest sister's husband fell Gravely ill and his constant pain and suffering touched something deep down on the inside of me. I had never been in touch with this part of myself before, maybe because I was never this close to a very sick person before. I was desperate to find a way, to do something, anything to make him better or just to ease his pain long enough for him to get some sleep. I did everything I possibly could including sitting with him during the day time and sometimes all night. I knew during those months that I was here for this purpose. I have since worked with patients with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, patients who had Brain Aneurysms and patients who are just old and tired and need love, patience and general care. I write poetry and short stories.

Lavern is honest and dependable. She's also a hard worker! When my daddy was sick she showed up every day on time and never called out. We were able to trust her with his medication, outings, doctor's appointments, and his personal matters. I felt a sense of peace knowing that she cared about my daddy's well being and was so attentive to his needs. My father passed after battling his illness and we no longer needed her services. She's a gem and whoever hires her will benefit from her caring spirit and loyalty to her patients.
