I am a former certified special education teacher looking for a way to make a difference for children and adults with disabilities. I enjoyed teaching, but I have found that I most enjoy direct support. I was a K-8 special ed teacher for two years, but the bulk of my experience has been providing coaching and support for older teenagers and adults. I am comfortable with all ages, but I feel best suited for neurodiverse children and adults ages 12+. My specialities are Autism, ADHD and OCD. However, I have experience with a wide range of disabilities. I am CPR-certified and a former lifeguard. My clients would describe me as reliable, patient, consistent and easygoing. I excel in chaotic environments and crisis situations. I definitely have a sense of humor and choose my battles wisely. I am new to NYC and located in UES. I am looking for full to part-time work, but the connection to the family and client is most important to me- so I can be flexible for the right family!
