After interviewing Latonia, hiring her and processing application, one week before she was to start, she called and said she got another job. We were disappointed, of course, as we thought she would be a great fit. She said she only wanted to work 30 hours a week although we offered her an additional 12, 3 days a week. She said the job she's taken is three days, 13 hours a day! I'm glad she called and told us, but still feel like we were just someone she had as a backup, if she didn't find something else. She was slow to respond to messages, which should have been a clue that she really wasn't serious.
