About Krystina

I'd describe my personality as understanding, charismatic, diplomatic, and intelligent. I like tutoring because as a teacher, I see the potential in every child. Working in a small group setting or one on one, you are able to see that potential realized through academic growth, as well as confidence that is gained when they feel good about learning. I believe that it is extremely important to foster curiosity and the desire to learn. I enjoy helping children make connections between their prior knowledge and new material. It's like a lightbulb that gets even brighter! In my spare time, I like to spend quality time with my family, work on my science fiction novel, read, and learn new things. One thing you should know about me is that I like to ask questions instead of making assumptions. My skills include relationship building, making learning less intimidating/building confidence, and a wealth of skills and strategies I've learned while working in education for 15 years!
