I cared for a woman with dementia. I cared for her a year and a half, until she passed away! In the beginning I would just go and sit, we would watching The Golden Girls, I would prepare her meals & do her laundry and light cleaning! By the end she was basically bed ridden so I would sleep over, clean her, get her situated for the day & just make her as comfortable as possible! Right now I am caring for a gentleman who is living with his daughter full time. I go in 2x per week to give him a shower & do his exercises that his therapist left for him to do. Since writing this I've cared for many more families. You just have to ask and I'll be willing to share! I'm a single Mom, my husband passed away before my daughter was born! References upon request!
