About Kelly

Hi! I'm Kelly. I am certified to teach both special education and general education in grades 1-6, and have taught 1st grade for the past 4 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Prior to becoming a 1st grade teacher, I briefly taught 2nd grade, substitute taught in all elementary grades, and worked at the YMCA Before and After School Program as a coordinator, which involved planning and supervising activities for kids ages 5-11. In addition, I worked as an AmeriCorps tutor in 6th and 7th grade math, and worked for a year as an Outdoor Educator with a focus on teaching school groups Ecology. I have degrees in Biology and Inclusive Childhood Education. I am seeking an elementary level tutoring job either in math or reading for a few hours per week after school or on weekends, or over the summer I have lots of flexibility! I love hiking, reading, crafts, and being outdoors. I would love to meet with you and your family if this seems like it would be a good fit!
