About Kelly

I've worked with children for 20 years as an occupational therapist assistant in schools, where I gained experience with kids of all backgrounds and situations. I'm an upbeat and happy person who communicates well with children, including those who are non-verbal. I follow parents' preferred communication methods and take their lead in enforcing household rules. I've also worked on Senior care in a Rehab situation for 15 years. I don't do heavy transfers anymore, but I can do minimal assist and some moderate assist depending on the situation. I enjoy playing both outdoor sports and physical games, as well as board games and puzzles. I find that physical games help children who need movement embedded in their tutoring time. I believe making a game out of writing tasks can make writing fun. I teach fine and visual motor skills, and have training in sensory integration. I also teach basic voice and guitar lessons for beginners / kids.
