About Kayla

Hello, my name is Kayla, and I am a proud school counselor and graduate of Hunter College with a Bachelor's degree in Developmental Psychology and a Master's degree in School Counseling. My passion for working with children began by caring for my younger brother, which led to babysitting and becoming a camp counselor. In that role, I supervised groups of 12-15 children, planned activities, and trained other counselors, developing strong leadership skills. As a childcare provider, I enjoy fostering creativity and encouraging children to explore art and nature. While I've primarily worked with newborns and toddlers, I have experience with children of all ages and love connecting with them on a personal level. My work as a school counselor has further strengthened my ability to support children's emotional and developmental needs. I look forward to meeting your family and building a meaningful connection beyond caregiving.
