About Katrina

I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic, curious, and engaging. I like tutoring because I can see the progress in my students and I know they feel better about what they are capable of. I'm looking for a job that utilizes my skills and background as a reading specialist to support student goals. I started tutoring when I began working as an Intervention Teacher and Academic Coach. I have tutored off and on for a lot of my career. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, do yoga, and be in nature. One thing you should know about me is I am hard working, a good communicator, and I am creative with solutions. My skills include systematically teaching reading foundations, spelling patterns, and reading comprehension. I also have background in teaching writing and elementary math.
