About Kathryn

I have recently moved from Indiana to New York to do a year of service with World Vision, where I do advocacy and policy work at the UN relating to humanitarian and development aid. This is quite a shift from my previous job as a business litigator attorney at a law firm, and I am looking for some evening or weekend work to make ends meet, now that I am a full-time volunteer. I did my undergrad and law school studies at Notre Dame, and did a lot of babysitting in my teen years, as well as teaching classes of swimming lessons to 3-15-year-olds for 8 years. I also have volunteered to read with an elementary school age reading buddy once a week for the past three years. In thinking about a career in elementary education, I student-taught a kindergarten class for a semester in high school, as well. I enjoy children and think they relate to me well. I am available and interested in babysitting or tutoring.
