About Kathryn

I'm a creative with a passion for child development and 12+ years of child care experience. I've nannied for four families and have cared for children ranging from 1-year-old to middle school age. Now, I am looking to become a regular sitter for a Brooklyn family who needs occasional childcare help in the evenings. Previous employers would describe me as energetic, caring and dedicated. I love crafting, reading and outdoor activities. I'm happy to share childcare references. I have a particular interest in child development and am happy to provide reading, writing and homework help. I work 9-5 in media relations for a large mental health nonprofit, and have volunteered as a literacy tutor for elementary students, as well as developed and taught High School English classes to incarcerated teens in Michigan. My hobbies include reading, writing, yoga, cooking and travel (I've visited 19 countries so far!)
