About Katelyn

Hi there! My name is Katelyn and I am currently pursuing my Masters degree at the University of Minnesota. I graduated with Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Colorado - Boulder in 2020. I then spent 6 months teaching English as a foreign language in Gunsan, South Korea, before returning to the US to teach Middle School English. I have 10+ years of experience working with kids of all ages in a variety of settings, including babysitting, nannying, tutoring, summer camps, and teaching. I have worked with students with learning disabilities and difficulties, such as ADHD/ADD, dyslexia, autism, language processing disorders, and more. I pride myself on my ability to empathize with and relate to the struggles of students and adolescents as they navigate the craziness of school and life. I find working with children to be the most rewarding job of all, and hope to bring my own passion for reading, writing and language to my students.
