About Karen

I have 5 years of experience caring for children with ages from 3-months to 12-years-old. Fully bilingual, fluent in writing, reading and speaking in English and Spanish. I graduated from high school in Goleta. Later, I began my undergraduate studies at SBCC, and transferred to the University of California in San Diego (UCSD) to pursue a Bachelor's in Science degree in Electrical Engineering. I became a caregiver as I enjoy teaching. I am nurturing, reliable and motivating. I foster a welcoming, safe and caring environment. I encourage practicing respect, responsibility and patience through good communication and understanding. I support children's learning and development with engaging and fun age-appropriate exercises, arts and crafts, games, nature/museum walks and other at-home activities. The wonderful family for whom I have been working for a year will no longer need full-time assistance. I am looking for a full-time or part-time position starting April 1st.
