About Karen

Hi, I'm Karen. I have 15+ years experience caring for Seniors in their homes. I was caregiver to a dear friend for her last 2 years. I provided meals, light housework and laundry, took her to all appointments, and spent time with her at home. I shared the care of my beloved Dad with my 6 siblings during his final stages of Alzheimer's to relieve the burden on our Mom. It involved feeding, showering, dressing, walking with him, watching him constantly, giving him meds. It was one of the greatest joys of my life. I currently work 6 evenings a week with a spunky 92-year-old gentleman. He is legally blind and very hard of hearing. I prepare his dinner, do 2 breathing treatments a night, give him his meds, and have lively conversations! Also, I have a 7 hour shift every Saturday morning with a lovely 90-year-old woman with Alzheimer's. She needs little more care than getting dressed, taking meds, and sometimes in the bathroom. I have a true passion for caring for the elderly!
