Hi! I am looking for a companion care opportunity, I recently lost my Dad to Parkinson's and my Mom to Alzheimer's. I relocated them to Carmel in 2023 after they were diagnosed. Although they were in an assisted living facility for part of the time, I spent numerous hours taking them to Dr. appts., helping them around the apartment and just visiting with them. Last year I saw first-hand the stress & struggles of individuals trying to find great, dependable care for their loved ones. I have decided that Companion Care is where my heart is! Besides having the feeling of helping someone, companion care gives me so many other things. I gain a wealth of knowledge "on how things were way back when", advice on tried & true experiences and it gives my heart a bigger sense of empathy.
