About Julie
Experience: 10 yrs
Hello! I am a former Elementary Teacher with 23 years of teaching experience. Half of that was in a public classroom. I have offered instruction for gifted children and children with special needs. I specialize in teaching Foundational Literacy, but I have developed science camps, writing camps and art camps. In 2013, I wrote a test-prep course for High School and a Writing Camp that focused on the developmental needs of students in grades 5-8. I developed a writing curriculum in 2013 that led me to instruct students in Washington, D. C., and to develop my own tutoring business. I love teaching and motivating students to achieve their greatest potential! I think outside of the box, so I am known to be an educator to go above and beyond to meet the individual needs of her students and families. I offer Homeschool instruction, online instruction for Elementary age students, and in- person Tutoring for Pre - K through - Adults.
