About Julia

I am thrilled to write this review for our incredible nanny, Julia, who has been an invaluable part of our family for nearly three years. She joined us when I was pregnant with our fourth child, who is now starting nursery school. At the time, our three kids were 1, 3, and 7 years old, and now we have four, aged 2, 3.5, 6, and 10. It's bittersweet to see Julia move on. From day one, she has been a calming presence in our bustling household of four kids, which is no small feat! We both work from home, which can add an extra layer of complexity, but Julia handles it amazingly well and is always pleasant to have around. Her creativity, kindness, and patience are truly unmatched. Julia is a self-starter who requires minimal direction, yet always welcomes feedback with grace, making her a fantastic collaborator. Julia takes the initiative to take our kids on adventures and set up imaginative activities every day—whether it’s building and painting cardboard trucks, making kites, exploring streams, riding bikes at the park, or baking muffins, the list goes on! She excels in both one-on-one interactions and managing the whole crew, ensuring every child feels valued and engaged. Beyond her work with the kids, Julia has consistently helped maintain a tidy home, assisting with laundry, preparing nutritious lunches, and organizing toys and clothes. She goes above a beyond with various (self directed) tasks to make our household run smoother, including cleaning out the fridge while the kids nap, and even cared for our chickens when we went out of town. It’s hard to put into words just how much Julia means to us. She is family, and hiring her has been one of the best decisions we've ever made for our kids. While we wish she could stay with us forever, we understand that it's time for her to find a new family to support and nurture. In summary, Julia is the absolute best nanny one could ask for, and any family would be incredibly lucky to have her. We will miss her dearly!
