About Julia

I am a former substitute teacher with 2 years of experience in all grade levels from Pre-K to 12 looking to transition back to a career working with children. I currently work from home as a medical coder but feel that a more social and structured job like my previous childcare roles suits me better. I would love to develop a close working relationship with a family and commit to a long-term full time nanny position if we are a good fit for each other! I prefer to do activities such as educational games, arts and crafts, and outings as much as possible when caring for children because I know how harmful excessive screen time can be from my teaching experience. I want to help children develop good habits and keep myself engaged at the same time. Aside from this, I like to let parents take the lead when it comes to setting expectations and do my best to enforce household rules. I am happy to help with chores like light housekeeping, simple meal prep, and running errands.
