About Joy

I started out by helping with the care of my grandmother (my mother's mother), preparing meals, making sure she gets her medication, helping her out of bed, helping her dress and I helped her wash. Next I was hired by a friend to help take care of her elderly mother after she broke her arm. I helped bathe as well. I helped with shopping and errands, helped with cooking. I was also hired by a in home care company to take care of a woman who had trouble getting around because of her weight. She was in her early 60's. I helped with cooking, shopping, with personal things, and lots of miscellaneous duties. I moved to Paradise to help take care of my grandmother (my dad's mother). She was 97 at the time. I lived with her. I cooked her meals, took her to appointments, made sure she took her medications (that was a task at times!), basically I was there to keep her company and make sure she was alright through the day and night. I helped take care of my sweet mom after she had a stroke.
