About Joy

I've worked for a local daycare for 4 years and taught for 2 years at a Christian private school (PreSchool-12th). I'm learning ASL and have taught beginner level signs to the kids at the daycare. I currently work at my church's Pregnancy Help Center. I like working with kids because I believe it is crucial that children have good influences at an early age. I'm looking for a job that allows me to be a blessing to families in my community. I started as an assistant at the daycare at 16 and have since been trusted to run it on my own when the owner is away. In my spare time, I like to read and spend time with my family. One thing you should know about me is I am very dedicated to my church and try to live every day to honor God with my decisions. My skills include finding ways to keep children entertained without the use of electronics, getting "stubborn nappers" to sleep, and finding a way for a student to learn that best fits their learning style.
