I have worked in assisted living and long-term care for 5 years. I have a lot of experience with dementia and Alzheimer's patients as I've spent much of my time in the memory care unit. Working with agencies such as Visiting Angels, Maxim Healthcare, and Pruitt Health has given me a variety of experiences with patients who have diverse needs. Working with patients who've just come from surgery and into our rehab facility is a part of my job that has been very rewarding for me. Before becoming a CNA I was a habilitation technician (4 years) working with disabled people who needed assistance with their ADLs such as bathing, transferring (using various types of lift devices), feeding and food prep.
