I have over 10 years of experience in child care for families with children ranging from birth to 11 years of age, both in a licensed child care facility and as an in-home nanny. I am very passionate about my career, not only do I have a wealth of experience working in different child care environments and for numerous families in their homes, but I have also raised two children of my own who are now grown, successful adults. I care for children in a loving, nurturing way and make sound decisions that keep the children I work with safe, while at the same time allowing them to learn and experience through exploring during play.

We hired Joan for the first time when our son was less than 6 weeks old. I cannot give Joan any higher recommendation as she has been an incredible help. As a first time mom, I appreciate the gentle and non-intrusive advice and helpful hints Joan gives that I would have never even thought of. She is incredibly flexible and easy to work with. She truly goes above and beyond. She is always early, goes out of her way to help around the house if it doesn't interfere with caring for the baby, and regularly and proactively communicates to ensure we are all on the same page. We also have a large dog that can be a lot to handle, and Joan takes it all in stride.
