I am 48-year-old mother of 4 girls who are on their way to becoming wonderful young adults. I am the youngest of 11 children. Over the past 2 years, I have been the day time caregiver for my mom who suffered from dementia/Alzheimer's. She was the kindest person I have ever met and suffered a great deal before her passing last year. I will always cherish the time I was able to care for her and help her in anyway possible. I have to believe that there was a reason that this disease consumed her as I have found a passion for caring for others who are unfortunately dealing with the same fate.
