About Jessica

Hello, my name is Jess and I use they/them pronouns. I graduated from Eckerd College in 2022 with a degree in Human Development and a minor in Visual Arts. I worked at the Ivymount School for over a year as a teacher providing instruction and care to students aged 16-18. This provided me experience working with people on the spectrum as well as people who are physically impacted by other disabilities. In addition, I have a deep understanding of ADHD and anxiety. Before Ivymount, I worked as an art teacher at VisArts for kids aged 6-12. I am creative, energetic, patient, and understanding of all abilities. I love doing art with kids, and my experience as a teacher at both of these organizations has given me the opportunity to incorporate the interests of people in my care when planning activities. In addition, working at Ivymount allowed me to develop my skills in problem solving, communication, and deescalation.
