About Jennifer

I have been teaching in kindergarten classrooms for the past 14 years, in both the United States and Thailand. I moved back home from Thailand to attend the University of Washington's Elementary Teacher Education Program, through which I earned both my Teaching Certificate and my Master's in Teaching. While I have extensive experience with preschool, pre-k, and kindergarten students, I have also taught reading to first, second, and fifth graders. My goal as an educator is to cultivate a love of learning; I want my students to take pride in their work and celebrate their accomplishments so that they can develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed in elementary school and beyond. I am also available for students who wish to practice their English skills with a patient and experienced instructor; in Thailand, I worked with both children and adults who wanted to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English. At this time, I am teaching and tutoring online only.
