About Jean

Former teacher & mom to 3 grown children, I started working with kids when I was 11! I began with babysitting & community volunteering, which led to earning a BS in special education & work as a public school teacher. I then spent several years as an at-home parent. I was my father's primary caregiver for 4 years before he passed in October 2024, & now I'm ready for part-time work. I love dogs & cats. I have reliable transportation and can make sure your children get to & from their afterschool activities safely. I have moderate Spanish fluency. I believe in supporting parents' decisions & see myself as someone who reinforces your parenting style & philosophy. The one caveat to this: I am firmly opposed to corporal punishment & would not be a good fit for families where that is used. I look forward to talking with you!
